The teenage years are the critical period for developing leadership skills.
We are proud of the campers who use our programs to get into the colleges of their choice, who find careers in the arts through contacts they make at camp, and who use the lessons of camp to succeed in life.
French Woods offers a Counselor-In-Training program for campers from 15 to 17 years old, high level programs to challenge our most advanced participants, help with writing college application essays, and a performing arts college audition prep track for campers trying to get in to colleges in music, theater and dance.
The Cit Program French Woods offers a Counselor-In-Training program for campers who minimally have reached their 15th birthday by August 1st of the summer of attendance. Our CIT’s play an important role at French Woods that adds to the positive and safe environment at camp. They become ‘senior’ members of the FW community and are recognized as committed teens that want more and need more. The FW CIT program provides continuity to our campers, staff and programming.
